Workshops

This workshop – essentially practical – is aimed at flamenco guitarists and composers or composition students interested in the creation of music for flamenco guitar. The final goal is that students can learn the harmony, melody, rhythm and structures of flamenco, as well as analyze the instrumental characteristics of flamenco guitar writing. We also aim to learn the compositional modes and resources available for flamenco composition.

This workshop is aimed at guitarists and other flamenco instrumentalists interested in the composition and accompaniment of a flamenco dance. Among its objectives is to know the musical foundations of the palos, understand the functions of each of the members of a flamenco ensemble, and to apply compositional methods for the accompaniment of a choreography.
