Career
A life in music
My name is Jose Torres Vicente and I am a guitarist with a multidisciplinary profile. I have composed music for dance, exhibitions, performances and soundtracks of video art, advertising, fiction and documentaries. I have published two CDs with original compositions with my band, the José Torres Trío (José Torres Trío. Youkali Music 2013 and (UN)STILL LIFE. Youkali Music 2020), as well as an EP of free covers of classical pieces with the singer Rocío Guzmán (La virtud en el aire. Guzmán &Torres 2018). I have also directed a screen dance starring Pastora Galván (Café Cantante – 2012). By the way, I have performed on stages in more than thirty countries with artists such as Isabel Bayón, Carmen Linares, Orquesta Chekara, Carles Benavent, Vanesa Aibar, Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, Manuel Lombo… In addition, I have two awards: as a performer for the Spanish National Youth Institute and as a composer at the Seville Stage Awards for La suite del reloj by José Torres Trío. I am currently a member of Kiko Veneno’s band.
